Terms and Conditions

Last Updated: December 2025

1. Using This Site

By using Eat With Me, you're agreeing to these terms. If you don't agree with them, that's fine—just don't use the site. We're not trying to trap you into anything, but we do need some basic ground rules to keep things running smoothly.

These terms might change from time to time. If they do, we'll update the "Last Updated" date. If we make big changes, we might put a notice on the site. But checking back here every so often isn't a bad idea.

2. How You Can Use This Site

We want you to enjoy what we've put together here. You're welcome to browse, read recipes, try them at home, and share them with friends. That's what this is all about—sharing good food.

However, there are a few things we'd appreciate you not doing:

  • Don't copy large portions of our content and republish it as your own work
  • Don't use our recipes or content for commercial purposes without asking us first
  • Don't try to reverse engineer or mess with the technical stuff that makes the site work
  • Don't remove our copyright notices or claim our work as yours
  • Don't scrape or systematically copy everything from the site

Basically, use it like you'd use a cookbook from a friend—enjoy it, try the recipes, share what works. Just don't photocopy the whole thing and sell it. Fair enough?

3. Accounts (If You Create One)

Right now, you don't need an account to browse recipes. But if we add account features in the future, here's the deal:

  • Keep it secure: Your password is your responsibility. Don't share it, and pick something that's not "password123"
  • What happens under your account: If someone uses your account (whether it's you or not), you're responsible for what they do
  • Be honest: Give us accurate information. We're not going to do anything weird with it, but we need to know who we're dealing with

If you think someone's using your account without permission, let us know right away.

4. Stuff You Post

If you post comments, reviews, or other content on the site, you still own it. But by posting it, you're giving us permission to use it—to display it on the site, maybe share it, that kind of thing. We're not going to claim it as ours or sell it, but we need to be able to show it to other people (that's the whole point of posting).

Please don't post:

  • Anything illegal, harmful, or threatening
  • Stuff that violates someone else's rights (like copyright)
  • Spam or unsolicited ads
  • Viruses or malicious code
  • Anything that's just mean or abusive

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these rules. We're not trying to censor anyone, but we want to keep this a decent place to be.

5. Intellectual Property & Copyright

Everything you see here on Eat With Me—the recipes, photos, writing, and the way we've put it all together—is something we've worked on. We're a small team who genuinely care about sharing good food, and we've put time and effort into creating this space.

The website and all its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Eat With Me and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. That said, we're not trying to be overly restrictive. If you want to share a recipe you found here with a friend, go ahead. If you want to try it at home and post a photo, we'd love to see it. We just ask that you don't copy large chunks of our content and republish it elsewhere as your own, or use our recipes commercially without permission.

Think of it this way: we're sharing what we know because we believe good food should be shared. We just want to make sure the work we put into this stays ours, and that people know where it came from. Fair enough, right?

6. We're Not Perfect

We provide everything on this site "as is." That means we're not making any promises about accuracy, completeness, or whether it'll work for your specific situation. We try our best, but we're human, and humans make mistakes.

We've tested the recipes ourselves, but your kitchen, ingredients, and skills might be different from ours. Results may vary. That's just how cooking works.

7. Our Liability (The Legal Stuff)

We're not liable for damages that come from using (or not being able to use) this site. If something goes wrong—the site crashes, a recipe doesn't work, you burn dinner—we're sorry, but we can't be held responsible.

We're a small operation. We can't guarantee everything will work perfectly all the time. Use the site at your own risk.

8. Things Might Be Wrong

There might be typos. Recipes might have errors. Photos might not match exactly what you get. We do our best to catch these things, but we're not perfect. If you find a mistake, let us know and we'll fix it.

We might also change things without notice—update recipes, add new ones, remove old ones. That's just how websites work.

9. Links to Other Sites

Sometimes we link to other websites—maybe a cooking tool we like, or an ingredient source. We haven't reviewed all of them, and we're not responsible for what's on those sites. If you click through, you're on your own. Check their terms and privacy policies if you're concerned.

Just because we link to something doesn't mean we endorse it. We might just think it's useful or interesting.

10. We Might Change These Terms

We can update these terms anytime. If we do, the new version applies. We'll update the "Last Updated" date, and if the changes are significant, we might put a notice on the site. But it's your responsibility to check back here occasionally.

If you keep using the site after we change the terms, that means you accept the new version. If you don't like the changes, you can stop using the site.

11. If We Need to End Your Access

We can suspend or terminate your access to the site if you violate these terms, do something harmful, or for any other reason we think is necessary. We probably won't do this unless you're really causing problems, but we reserve the right.

We're not trying to be jerks about it. We just want to keep the site a decent place for everyone.

12. The Legal Stuff

These terms are governed by applicable laws. If there's a dispute, we'll try to work it out like reasonable people. If we can't, we'll handle it according to the law.

We're not lawyers, and this isn't legal advice. If you have serious legal concerns, you might want to talk to an actual lawyer.

13. Questions?

If you have questions about these terms, or if something doesn't make sense, just ask:

Email: [email protected]

We'll do our best to clarify things. We're not trying to hide anything or make this complicated—we just need some basic rules to keep things running.

Thanks for reading this far. We know terms of service aren't exactly page-turners, but we wanted to be clear about how things work.
